In partnership with US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development, GNRC is offering a series of capital planning workshops and webinars to help promote best practices for developing capital improvement plans and to strategically position local agencies for state and federal grant programs.
About the Webinar
This September 2021 webinar brought together capital planning experts and local practitioners to discuss best practices, tools, and tips for developing and implementing capital plans. The webinar provided an opportunity to share insight into what a capital improvement plan is, the necessary components of the plan, and how to engage stakeholders and the public in the process.

- Identify the key characteristics of an effective capital planning process
- Learn what information you need to collect before you initiate a capital planning process
