The Greater Nashville Regional Council is accepting nominations for its Local Government Awards program. Presented at the GNRC annual meeting, these awards honor local governments and public/private partnerships in the greater Nashville region which have exhibited outstanding accomplishment and achievement or innovation in several areas of public service. Outstanding efforts in other areas will be considered for special awards. We also encourage public/private partnerships which demonstrate a relationship with the local government for the purpose of completing a project that will serve the public in the community and/or the Greater Nashville region.
The activities to be considered for local governments should have been accomplished or completed within the prior year (July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019), unless otherwise indicated. A member of local government (county or municipality) may nominate itself or another local government. Award winners will be recognized at GNRC’s annual meeting and luncheon on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Bluegrass Yacht and Country in Hendersonville. Attendance is not required.
